He does not want it to be over... is it somehow possible he saw through her and is trying to ease the guilty she's feeling by putting himself in the same situation?
Surely not. Logic tells her it is incredibly unlikely, unlikely to the point it is closer to impossible, and yet the worry still settles deep in her chest. It is however a worry she does her best to ignore on the strength of said logic, and she offers him a smile in the name of honesty, honesty grounded in her trust of him and her own logical thoughts, and she nods. She should tell him, she thinks, that she too does not wish the night over, that she wants to it to keep going as long as it can, and if her selfishness here is less of an issue... ]
