[ The first comment is met with a slight smile in return, a soft laugh at the perturbation in his voice, and Kaveh doesn't shake his head because that would pull him from Alhaitham's mouth, but he does offer a brief reassurance, a mumbled promise against the other's lips: ] Don't worry; there's no way I'm going to tell anyone about it. [ He likes, after all, that it's a side of Alhaitham just for him, that others don't get to seeβ€” except for possibly that outlander friend of his, but Kaveh tries not to think about them because he just gets stupidly jealous. ] It's our secret.

[ If he plans to say more, it's forgotten in favor of the surprised yelp that sounds on his lips when he's so effortlessly lifted and pulled into Alhaitham's lap; and then in the intensity of the scribe's gaze on his, the feel of that possessive hold around his waist, the deep cadence of his voice as he asks the question that makes the architect huff and roll his eyes again, because now the other man is just being a brat for the sake of it.

Well, two can play at that game. ]

You know, something about this is a little unfair, don't you think? [ It's a murmur into his mouth, a playful nip of teeth at his lower lip. ] I've made you listen to me so much already, and I've hardly given you a chance to speak. How selfish of me... It's only fair that you get the chance to share what's on your mind too.

[ His eyes are open, the crimson shaded over with something curious and playful, a teasing tilt at the corners of his mouth as his fingers rise further, threading into his hair and drawing patterns into the sensitive skin of his scalp. ]
