[ There's a moment of silence where no doubt Alhaitham sees the self-doubt and displeasure creep over Kaveh's face. user2.718 wants to pay him for his time? Is this just transactional after all? As always, he's placed too much importance on this, built it up into something it's not, and Mister Eβ it's not his fault, he was just getting carried away with a streamer's attention andβ
(Oh god was Alhaitham right?)
But then the other keeps typing, explains his reasoning, and Kaveh forgets that he's supposed to be upset, his expression softening as he reads.
It's not like it sounded, it's just...
He bites his lip. ]
Euler, you..
[ There's a moment of silence, conflicted eyes peering into the camera before he finally nods. ]
[Ah, of course he'd be conflicted. He already felt pitiful back at the bar for thinking that Mister E, now Euler, was a paying customer. One of his viewers.
Alhaitham's heart aches.]
user2.718: It's for your safety and well-being, Pharos. user2.718: Nothing else. user2.718: I promise.
[ He's quiet for a moment longer, but then he nods again. ]
Okay. I trust you, and.. and I wanna see you more often, so. I accept. Next time, I'll make sure the tip jar is set up when we start. Okay?
[ And he smiles. No matter how unsure he feels about this on one level, he really does believe what Euler says on the other, trusts that he is looking out for his best interests. ]
[Alhaitham sighs. He knows this is necessary because if it comes out that Kaveh is seeing one of his viewers on the regular for free, people will probably demand the same. If Euler is seen as a VIP, then all the better.
He knows it's tricky, they're walking on weird, crackling ice, that they don't know if it's thin or not.]
user2.718: Don't look like that. user2.718: It makes me want to take care of you.
[ And despite the worries, he finds that his smile only grows more as he leans into the camera, blows it a sweet, brief kiss. ]
Thank you, Euler. I'm looking forward to next time too.
[ And with another smile, he closes the stream. It's not until the stream indicator disappears that he leans forward with a groan, pressing his forehead into his hands.

I'm okay, I promise. I'm just being selfish. But I understand why you're saying that we should do it this way.
[ There's more than one reason, really. It's a good suggestion, as much as Kaveh wants to hate it. ]
