[ Kaveh knows the answer he wants isn't likely to be the answer Euler gives. The one he gets though is almost as nice, a soft smile forming on his lips as the other's face presses into his neck. Lucky, he says, and Kaveh's heart warms, pounding in his chest. ]
Me... me too, Mister E. I'm really gladβ
[ And, just like last time, there's a knock on the door, a soft voice calling out to them that it's closing time.
Where his heart was warm and pounding, he feels it sink. ]
[At the knock, his arms curl tighter, and he presses his lips to Kaveh's temple. He wishes he'd have more time, or at least, that the momentum wouldn't be ruined so easily.
He nuzzles the blonde strands softly.] Me, too. Next time we should come in earlier.
[And a kiss to his lips, after bringing him up for a small smooch.]We should get cleaned up.
[ In response, Kaveh nods. With how short the nights are here, coming early is probably a good idea. There's also, he thinks, the option of a hotel, now that they trust each other (he hopes; he knows he trusts Euler) to keep their masks in place. But he doesn't bring it up for now. Instead, he returns that kiss softly, and nods.
They clean up quickly and are gone their separate ways before Kaveh would like, with naught but another lingering kiss to seal the memories of the night between them.
By the time he gets home, he's exhausted, aching, and a little sad.
Perhaps it's that last one that has him nudge Alhaitham's door open just a few inches, looking inside quietly at his roommate and landlord curled up in his bed, the shadows darkening what little of his hair he can see. (He sleeps cutely, is Kaveh's distant thought, curled up and cocooned in his covers.)
And he didn't plan this, didn't plan even to look in, but suddenly he finds himself talking to the other's sleeping body. ]
I'm home... and I guess I have a lot to talk with you about, in the morning. I talked with Euler and I told him the truth, that.. mm. I'm in love with him, Alhaitham. But I.. I also have feelings for you. [ He smiles faintly. ] I guess you could call it a crush. And Euler, he... he doesn't mind. He's okay with it if I want to be with both of you. So...
[ Kaveh trails off, as if realizing for the first time he's talking to someone who's asleep. And he chuckles, a soft sound as he cards fingers through his own hair. ]
Sleep well, Haitham. I'll talk to you in the morning.

I hate how quick it always is, being with you.
