It's only once the blood starts to rush to the fresh hole, forcing the vessels open with its urgency and heating the area again, that the pain starts to kick back in, and he hisses as the beginnings of a sharp sting start to register.
But he blinks, and looks up at Wriothesley with a brief nod— a smile to reassure him, because it really isn't that bad, the pain after the fact, just strange. ]

[ He's careful in the way he gets up from the bed and pulls a shirt on. Thankfully, the pain isn't too bad when he does, although he's sure it will hurt more later. Perhaps though it's the way he's distracted with Wriothesley's not-so-hidden packing of the plug they purchased, making the blonde's brows raise as he bites his lower lip. ]
And what sort of plan do you have in place for that, Wriothesley?
[ Even as he asks it, he moves over to pack his own bag— since the incident with Mael, most of his stuff has been in here, and he's seen no need to move it back to the room he was using when he first took up residence in the Fortress. He even, cheekily, packs one of Wriothesley's shirts for himself.
(What can he say? He likes wearing his boyfriend's slightly bigger clothes, especially when he sleeps.) ]

( Butt-plug being especially essential for the things he wants Kaveh to experience in the grand ball. Calculations that will facilitate the strain of facing public scrutiny and lavish boredom. If it wasn't for Kaveh, there's a high chance he might have only attended five minutes and then ditched all other efforts.
After packing everything and putting on his boots, he reaches for Kaveh's hand without second thought. He gives him a smug glance as they're heading upstairs to his office. Good thing he seems comfortable enough after the piercing ordeal, but better than that, he likes to see Kaveh wearing his clothes. They suit him - but then again everything does.
Though the fact of Wriothesley and Kaveh being an item is public knowledge now, it's another thing entirely seeing the Duke himself holding hands with Kaveh as they make their way through the Fortress. They're a showstopper, and he doesn't seem to mind the extra attention. If anything, it's more of a silent warning to the rest. Mess with Kaveh, and run into sudden issues with the Duke. Simple. Mess with Kaveh, and maybe end up dead. Just kidding. Unless? )
